...auf III..., for large symphonic orchestra and live-electronics, is a composition based on the idea of impulse and response. In the live-electronic part a set of computers is in charge of processing the different orchestral groups by means of convolution. The IRs used were specifically produced for the piece and include materials of various different origins such as piano resonances, metal folie, etc. This CD contains the recording of the concert premiere of the piece in the Donaueschinger Festspiele, for which the composition received the Donaueshingen orchestra prize 2007. Besides my work on this piece as computer music engineer at the Experimentalstudio of the SWR I have played this piece in many different places, including the Cite de La Musique (Paris), the Berliner Philarmonie and the Konzerthaus (Wien).
